Learn More About the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox
The 2017 Chevrolet Equinox is available in four unique trim levels: L, LS, LT, and Premier. In addition to these trim levels, there are a variety of packages that can be equipped to the Equinox. When it comes to the engine of the Equinox, the standard option is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that generates 182 hp and 172 lb-ft of torque. There’s also an optional 3.6-liter V6 engine that delivers 301 hp and 272 lb-ft of torque. This engine is available for the LT and Premier trim levels. Both engines come paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and are offered in front-wheel drive. However, the base L trim can come in all-wheel drive if you prefer.
The base L comes with a USB port, automatic headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, cloth upholstery, cruise control, OnStar communications, an auxiliary audio input jack, a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, a trip computer, air conditioning, lumbar adjustments, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, and a 60/40-split second row which adds extra cargo space.
The LS gets you a compass, satellite radio, a towing package, and an Exterior Appearance package which adds body-color bumpers with gray trim, 17-inch wheels, and body-color door handles. The LT trim level provides LED daytime running lights, an upgraded touchscreen infotainment system, smartphone integration for Internet radio apps, roof rack side rails, a rear privacy glass, body-color mirror housings, Bluetooth®* audio connectivity, heated mirrors, and voice controls.
The top trim, the Premier, offers leather upholstery, 18-inch alloy wheels, driver memory settings, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, remote start, fog lights, heated front seats, automatic climate control, an eight-way power driver seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and more. In addition to these trim levels, there are several packages you can equip to the Equinox.
A Convenience Package adds an eight-way power driver seat, automatic climate control, remote start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and heated seats to the LT trim level. The Midnight Package gains driver memory settings, black paint, 18-inch black-painted wheels, black exterior trim, and black leather upholstery for the LT trim level. The Driver Confidence Package comes with a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors, the Technology Package provides an eight-speaker Pioneer audio system and a navigation system. On top of these packages, you can choose from several others including the Driver Confidence II Package, the Enhanced Convenience Package, and more!
