Great Deals on the Chevrolet Equinox in Elkhart, IN

The Equinox by Chevy offers something for everyone, combining power, cargo space, style, and a variety of tech features. Among Chevrolet’s diverse family of sport utility vehicles, the Equinox is on the larger size. Although it’s not quite as big as the Suburban, Traverse, or Tahoe, it offers plenty of space for the whole family.

The Equinox belongs to a vehicle segment that has gained extraordinary popularity in recent years. Midsize SUV crossovers, with their broad utility and versatility, are just what American drivers are looking for, and the Equinox is one of Chevy’s top-selling vehicles for that very reason.

Its interior is comfortable to accommodate long trips with friends and family, and the quiet ride will keep the driver happy for miles ahead. Chevrolet’s commitment to safety will keep you and your passengers out of harm’s way no matter where your journey may take you.

If you’d like to learn more about this capable SUV, come by our dealership for a test drive today. At Tom Naquin Chevrolet Cadillac, we have the Equinox and many more great cars, trucks, and SUVs on the lot and ready for you. Whether you’re on the hunt for a family-friendly SUV or any other Chevy vehicle, we’ll help you find exactly what you need.

What's New In The 2023 Chevrolet Equinox?

Since a redesigned Chevrolet Equinox won't hit showrooms until 2024, expect little change for the 2023 model year. The modest facelift scheduled for the 2021 Equinox was postponed to 2022 due to lockdowns and microchip shortages. The redesign mainly focused on the Chevy Equinox's grille and exterior lighting. The new RS package provides a revised front fascia, gloss black accents, leather seats, and larger 19-inch wheels. All trims now have a 175-horsepower, turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, and a six-speed automatic transmission as standard equipment. Chevy stopped making vehicles with turbo and turbo diesel 2.0-liter engines after the 2022 redesign. The exterior color selection has added three new hues: Sterling Gray Metallic, Harvest Bronze Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat.

History of the Equinox

In 2005, Chevy released the Equinox as their first crossover SUV. It packed plenty of storage, a multi-flex rear seat, and other features with a 3.4-liter V6 engine. Standard features included electric power steering, keyless entry, and more. In 2007, Chevy added StabiliTrak electronic stability control to that list, and a new Sport model released the following year with 264 horsepower.

The next decade saw a number of upgrades and options, like direct-injection engines in 2010. The next year, the Equinox came with FlexFuel for its V6 engine, building on the previous model’s capabilities. In 2012, Chevy added new safety features like lane departure warning, collision warning, and a rearview camera. In 2015, the Equinox received its own Wi-Fi hot spot. Its most recent generation arrived in 2018 and demonstrates Chevrolet’s ongoing commitment to delivering quality, safety, and innovation.
